dr-tejinder-katariaDr Tejinder Kataria completed her undergraduate studies including internship and housemanship in 1985 at Snowden Hospital & Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla, India. She went on to complete her post-graduation including residency in Radiation Oncology from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India from 1985-1990. She was an Assistant Professor at PGIMER, Chandigarh and started the Ir-192 Interstitial Brachytherapy under DST funding before moving to Central Health Services through UPSC merit as a teaching faculty at Maulana Azad Medical College from 1992-1996.

In 1993 she received AROI fellowship & in 1995 the Commonwealth Scholarship from Leeds UK. In 2005 she also received CCST in Clinical Oncology from Specialist Training Authority, British Institute of Radiology. She was made a Fellow of International Medical Science Academy in 2003 and a Fellow of Indian College of Radiation Oncology in 2015.

For the last 22 years she has worked at some of India’s leading hospitals and cancer care centers including Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre, New Delhi (1996-2007), Artemis Health Sciences Institute, Gurgaon (2007-2009) before joining Medanta Cancer Institute, Medanta-The Medicity in 2009.

Dr Kataria’s core expertise is on providing cancer care in a multi-modality setting along with surgeons and medical oncologists. She is well versed in the art & science of providing integrated cancer care for brain tumors and cancers of head and neck, breasts, lungs, esophagus (food pipe), colon, rectum, pancreas, liver, cholangio carcinomas & lymphomas etc.
